Embrace The Flavors of Fall-Inspired Coffee – Without Pumpkin Spice!

Nothing hits you like fall - a cool breeze in the air, changing and falling leaves, and a drop in temperature – even here in Florida. There’s nothing better than getting cozy and drinking a nice cup of Organo™ premium coffee. We’ve all seen what happens when fall hits - it’s all about pumpkin. Everyone wants the taste of pumpkin… but we’re not going to talk about that popular flavor today.

Let’s fall-ify some coffee without any pumpkin spice! Fall calls for super comforting coffees - full of spices like cinnamon and clove. Once you start making some of these delicious coffees at home, you won’t go back to the pumpkin.

Here are 5 ways to make amazing fall coffees at home:

Fall Flavor #1: Maple Syrup

Ditch your sugar or simple syrup for maple syrup instead. Drizzle it on your hot or iced coffee for a perfect fall treat that gives just the right amount of flavor. With a splash of oat milk, you’ve got yourself the perfect pick-me-up for a fall day.

Fall Flavor #2: Nutmeg

Cinnamon is an obvious choice to sprinkle over our favorite drink - but have you considered nutmeg? If you find a whole seed to grate over your coffee, it’ll infuse your drink with gingerbread-like flavors that’ll make you wonder if it’s Christmas yet. Embrace the warmth and give nutmeg a try.

Fall Flavor #3: Apple

If you love an apple-cinnamon dessert, then why not give those flavors a try in your coffee? You can create your own apple spice syrup, start by simmering:

  • Apples with apple juice

  • Whole black peppercorns

  • Cinnamon

  • Cardamom

  • Ginger

  • Nutmeg

  • Thyme

  • Rosemary

  • Apple cider vinegar

  • Sugar

  • Water

Stir these together in a pot into a syrup - then strain out the solids. You will not believe the warming fall flavors in your cup. Here’s an Apple Pie Latte recipe that’s one of our favorites to sip all season.

Fall Flavor #4: Nutella

Who doesn’t love chocolate in their coffee? As soon as you can - it’s time to start adding the sweet treat into your brews to give you the lift you need throughout the gloomier days that come with fall. Take it one more step, two words for you: Nutella Mocha

Brew up a cup of Organo™ King Coffee and instead of adding cocoa or chocolate syrup - try Nutella instead. This indulgent treat isn’t a daily replacement, especially if you’re trying to watch your waistline, but when the time calls for chocolate it does hit the spot.

You can make an amazing chocolate sauce with Nutella by heating it up with cream and whole milk - then add a little bit of cocoa powder and vanilla. Once it’s ready, you’ll want to drizzle that hazelnut chocolatey goodness on everything.

Fall Flavor #5: Bitters

If you have bitters handy, they’re a beautiful shortcut to fall-flavored coffee. We’re not talking about the fruity bitters you find in cocktails, but rather the spicy and chocolatey bitters. They can add a little heat to your Organo™ cup and give you that fall feeling without creating your own coffee syrups.

The Taste of Gold All Fall Long

Fall is full of changes, and these changes are reflected in flavors. Enjoy the flavors of the season and swap in some of these delicious options instead of reaching for pumpkin spice. See how your fall beverage palette can expand beyond pumpkin spice - you won’t regret it. Of course - you can always come back to pumpkin if that’s your thing.
