How to Host an Adorable Mother’s Day Tea Party

When May comes around, most of us can agree that ‘every day should be Mother’s Day.’ We’ve loved our mothers with a sense of deep connection since the day we were born, which is exactly why we should go out of our way to host a beautiful party that all of the moms and mom-figures are sure to never forget.

This Mother’s Day, treat your mama to a gathering of tea and sweets (and coffee!) that shows her how wonderful she is and how much she means to you. At Mr. Coffee Concierge, parties that involve hot beverages and treats are right up our alley, so we’ve put together a guide to hosting a 'brew-tiful’ Mother’s Day tea party.

Pouring Mother's Day Tea

Send ‘Invi-tea-tions' to Your Guests

There is nothing more charming than receiving a handwritten note in the mail. A gorgeous invitation is the perfect way to kick off the adorable festivities before the party even begins! A thoughtful invite will even serve as a lovely memento for any sentimental ‘cu-teas.' Receiving a letter in the mail is special, especially during our digitized modern times, and moms deserve to feel special!

There are plenty of tea and coffee themed cards for purchase on Etsy, but making them from scratch can be a fun and easy way to get creative. If you are planning the tea party with your mom or child, this can even be a fun bonding opportunity.

With some white craft paper and brown water colors, you can make ‘tea-stained notes.’ Doodle on some tea cups or paste on some flower stickers. Make sure to include the time, place, and other details. Write personalized notes for extra flavor, and send them away!

Invite Mr. Coffee Concierge

If you’re too busy to plan a party, no worries! We’ll bring the party to you. From hot teas and coffee to cold blended drinks, we have a variety of tasty beverages for all to enjoy. Plus, they pair perfectly with a butter croissant or a blueberry scone.

With our coffee catering service, our baristas will bring you on-site, made-to-order gourmet coffee and tea. Whether you are hosting a small get-together or a large event, Mr. Coffee Concierge would love to join you at any size gathering. Contact us today to plan your next event!

Decorate Your Space for an Intimate Gathering

A good tea party is best served in a cozy, feminine, soft, and elegant environment. You can even take it into the garden on a nice day. To achieve the best ambiance, we suggest laying oversized pillows out around any coffee tables you have in your home along with blankets and plenty of colorful, fresh flowers.

Other dreamy details we love:

  • Light pink napkins

  • Floral linens

  • Crochet table runners

  • Fairy lights

  • Vintage tea cups from the thrift store

  • Paper fans

Your space is bound to look like a fairytale.

Prepare Delicious Tea Party Food

The perfect tea party is incomplete without dainty sandwiches, delicate desserts, and fresh fruit. Spread a creamy herb butter onto French brioche toast. Top with cucumbers, radishes, and plenty of edible flowers. An heirloom tomato and burrata cheese salad is another refreshing and light favorite.

Earl gray cupcakes, cranberry white chocolate scones, and these mouth-melting coffee brownies will satisfy the sweet tooth of your guests and perfectly pair with your beverages.

Hosting a tea party, but don’t need a catering service? Purchase our nutrient-rich teas or coffees to serve or give out as party favors!

Play Games and Get ‘Craf-tea’

If you’re like us and can’t get enough of these tea puns, then you’ll likely enjoy tea-themed games and DIYs.

Guess the Tea!

A good nose will come in handy for this game. Place different loose tea blends on white saucers. Have the moms guess which blend is which. Whoever correctly guesses the most wins. Let them take home a party favor such as a cute tea cup or a box of their favorite tea.

DIY Tea

With spices, freshly grown herbs, and whatever teas and edible flowers you can gather, assemble tea bags. This is the perfect mother-daughter experience for both you and your guests.

DIY Bath Tea

Tea doesn’t just have to be for drinking. Brew in the bath with handmade bath tea soaks. Add tea, dried flowers, and Epsom salts to a small drawstring mesh back. You can make them ahead of time to hand out as party favors, but we recommend laying out your materials for guests to make their own at the party.

Make DIY bath soaks with tea, dried flowers, and Epsom salts so your guests can brew in the bath for the perfect end to a long and fulfilling Mother’s Day!

Loose Leaf Herbal Teas

Show Mom the Love with a Fresh Cup

More than anything, Mom wants quality time and relaxation with her loved ones to celebrate. What better way to provide that experience than a tea party with gentle energy, cozy decorations, delicious foods and beverages, and her favorite people?

When you hire Mr. Coffee Concierge, we do everything in our power to make sure your guests are energized, full of joy, and full of delicious tea and coffee. We would love to celebrate Mom with you! To learn more about our services, contact our baristas
